A single, rustic but strikingly original cabin with unique design and flare stands alone below a 100-foot granite cliff, at the foot of which ripples a small spring-fed pond, sheltered in a stand of native mountain laurel, its summery spray creating afternoon rainbows and reflections. Nestled among massive boulders, surrounded by fallen stone from bygone centuries, and 100 ft tall poplars and hickory trees, the Cliffside Cabin awaits you. |

The bathroom has a double-sized tub & toilet;
again bathmats, towels, and toilet tissue and so forth are provided.
There is no telephone, however mobile phones will work from the cabin
because of the altitude.
Fishing and hunting licenses are available in season, and trout, bass,
deer, raccoon, possum, bear and turkey are some of the wildlife to be
found here. However, Cliffside Cabin and its immediate surrounding area is
a wildlife sanctuary; therefore hunting in its vicinity, or the removal of
trees or plants, is prohibited. Many breeds of birds, some rare, come here
to nest, and we actively encourage this. |
